· Candidates must have a Class 10th (Matriculation) or its Equivalent under 10+2 system with minimum 50% marks and an ITI Certificate in the related trade issued by NCVT/SCVT. Alternatively, for Medical Laboratory Technician posts, a Class 10th with minimum 50% marks and Class 12th in Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) is acceptable. How To Fill Railway NFR Apprentice Online Form 2026

Step 1.
Visit the official portal of Northeast Frontier Railway at nfr.indianrailways.gov.in. Go through "General Info" → "Departments" → "Personnel" → "Act Apprentice Notification" to launch the active application window. Click on "New Registration" and enter your baseline credentials (name, email, and mobile) to generate an OTP verification link.
Step 2.
Log inside your active candidate dashboard using your system-generated credentials. Carefully fill out your basic personal parameters, ensuring your Matriculation percentage and ITI score parameters exactly mirror your certificate sheets.
Step 3.
In this block, indicate your preferred NFR Divisions and Workshops (e.g., Lumding, Katihar, Tinsukia) in order of preference. Remember that allotment is automated based entirely on your merit position and the preference list you lock down here.

Question : How is the final merit list calculated for the NFR Apprentice positions?
Answer : For general trades, the merit index is computed by taking the mathematical average of the percentage obtained in Class 10 (with at least 50% aggregate) and your ITI trade score. For Medical Laboratory Technician roles, the system calculates the average of your Matriculation marks and your Class 12 Science percentage.

Question : Is a physical training certificate issued by SCVT acceptable?
Answer : Yes, The commission fully accepts both the National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by NCVT and the provisional certificates authorized by SCVT.

Question : Can I edit my submitted registration form if I made a spelling error?
Answer : Yes, Candidates are permitted to modify their submitted registrations by paying a processing fee of ₹50 per correction. However, key core fields locked during the initial profile setup stage cannot be edited late.
