Please note that these cut-offs differ across various RRB zones and individual categories (including UR, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS) due to differing number of applicants and available seats in each region. |
Question: What is expected cut off marks?
Answer: The expected cut-off marks are essentially data-backed projections that estimate the lowest score required to successfully pass a competitive examination. These figures are compiled by evaluating a mix of structural variables, including the difficulty rating of the exam shifts, the total volume of participating test-takers, and the number of departmental vacancies up for grabs.
Based on current trends, the projected passing range for the General (UR) category is estimated to settle between 70 and 80 marks, whereas the OBC and EWS categories are trending closely behind at 65 to 75 marks. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities, the expected score brackets are projected at 55 to 65 marks and 50 to 60 marks, respectively.
These scores fluctuate noticeably across different regions due to localized competition. High-demand areas such as Patna, Chandigarh, and Prayagraj typically command stiffer benchmarks between 74 and 80 marks. Conversely, mid-tier zones like Mumbai and Secunderabad generally align with a 69 to 76 mark window, while lower-demand zones like Guwahati often see qualifying thresholds stay within 65 to 72 marks. Candidates should remember that while these ranges offer a reliable preview, the binding final cut-offs are published exclusively on the official regional web portals.
